Get Ready - Mahindra Adventure Calendar 2017-18 Announced

When we talk about off-road adventure in India, one of the most prominent names which come to mind is Mahindra. And this year, the Indian SUV maker is back with the seventh season of its Adventure tour. So, if you own a Mahindra and are looking to add a few dirty miles to your car, here is the perfect opportunity. It now consists of two all-new multi-day expeditions, the Great Escape series and the Mahindra Club and Monsoon challenges. Here is the list of all Mahindra Adventure Expeditions for the year 2017-18.

1) Monastery Escape

Date - Jun 17, 2017 To Jun 27 , 2017

Date - July 1, 2017 To July 11, 2017
Entry Fee - Rs 2,00,000 per couple. The fee for an additional person is Rs 75,000 per person. For kids above 10 years and below 18 years, the entry fee is Rs 20,000 per head.

This 10 day expedition will take off from (leg-1) Delhi and follow Manali> Jispa> Tso Moriri> Leh> Nubra>Leh. The second leg will follow Leh> Pangong Tso> Jispa> Kaza> Sangla> Shimla> Chandigarh. 

2) 1 Lap of India

Date - Jul 22, 2017 To Aug 8, 2017
Entry Fee - Rs 3,00,000 for a team of two. For an additional person, the fee is Rs 1,00,000 per person and that for kids above 10 years and below 18 years, is Rs 35,000 per head.

The second new addition to the calendar is the one lap of India - The Golden Quadrilateral. It will be a 8,000km and 18-day long expedition which will cover 18 different locations across the country. The expedition will follow the given route - Delhi> Agra> Khajuraho> Lucknow> Bodhgaya> Kolkata> Sundarbans> Puri> Vizag> Pondicherry> Bangalore> Shimoga> Goa> Guhagar> Chota Rann> Mt Abu> Bikaner> Udaipur> Delhi.

Date - Sep 9, 2017 To Sep 18, 2017
Entry Fee - Rs 2,00,000 for a team of two. For every additional person, the fee is Rs 75,000 per person. And for kids above 10 years and below 18 years the entry fee is Rs 20,000 per head.

The Himalayan Spiti Escape will let the participants experience the drive from Chandigarh> Narkanda> Nako> Kaza> Manali and back to Chandigarh. 

4) Authentic North-East

Date- Oct 28, 2017 To Nov 7, 2017
Entry Fee - Rs 2,00,000 for a team of two. For every additional person, the fee is Rs 75,000 per person. And for kids above 10 years and below 18 years the entry fee is Rs 20,000 per person.

The 10-day long Authentic North East will take the participants through Guwahati> Dirang> Tawang> Kaziranga> Shillong and back to Guwahati.

5) Authentic Myanmar-Thailand

Entry Fee: Rs 3,50,000 for a team of two. The fee for an additional person is Rs 1,25,000 per person and that for kids above 10 years and below 18 years is Rs 40,000 per head.

The first new addition to the multi-day challenges is the Authentic Myanmar-Thailand Drive. It is a 12-day long journey which will commence from Guwahati and will end in Bangkok (Leg-1). After Guwahati, the participants will go to Imphal before entering Myanmar. In Myanmar, the journey will go through Mandalay, Bagan and Yangon. After a stop at Sukho Thai, the expedition will conclude in Bangkok. The return journey (Leg-2) will trace its way back to Guwahati from Bangkok.

6) Authentic Bhutan

Date - Dec 26, 2017 To Jan 1, 2018
Entry Fee - Rs 1,50,000 for a team of two. For any additional person, the fee is Rs 50,000 per person. For kids above 10 years and below 18 years of age, the entry fee is Rs 15,000 per head.

The cross-border seven-day Authentic Bhutan expedition from last year will continue this year as well and will take participants through Chalsa> Paro> Thimphu> Punakha before concluding at Chalsa. 

7) Royal Escape

Date - Feb 11, 2018 To Feb 18, 2018
Entry Fee - Rs 1,50,000 for a team of two. Each additional person will attract a fee of Rs 50,000 per person. And for kids above 10 years and below 18 years of age, the entry fee is Rs 15,000 per head.

The 6-day Royal Escape will take the participants through Rajasthan, travelling via Alsisar> Bikaner> Jaisalmer before concluding at Jaipur.

8) The Great Escape

The popular off-roading event returns this year and will take place at 10 locations across India. The winners from these individual events will then get to compete in the Mahindra Off-Roading Trophy and will get a chance to win a Mahindra Thar CRDe 4x4.

9) Mahindra Club Challenge

In the Club Challenge, top 10 off-roading clubs from the country will compete against one another. This year, the Club Challenge will be held in Kerala, after being organised in Goa for the past two years. 

10) The Monsoon Challenge

It is a three-day long TSD (Time Speed Distance) rally which last year was flagged off from Mangalore and took participants through Shimoga and ended in Goa.
