The new Ford Ka will replace the current Ford Figo when it comes to the Indian shores

Ford Ka enters production in Brazil

Ford Ka has hit the production lines at the American carmaker’s manufacturing facility based out in Camacari, Brazil. Reports suggest the new five-door hatch will go on sale in Brazil this September.

Like the new-generation Ford Fiesta, the refreshed Ford Ka receives a trapezoidal grille similar to the Aston Martins. It borrows most of its design cues such as LED headlamps and bumpers from the Ford Focus and the Ford Fiesta. This new model also sports a revised spoiler and large tail lamps which round up the exterior of this car.

This new car is equipped with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder Flex fuel engine which delivers 85PS of power and 107Nm of torque. The engine is mated with a five-speed manual transmission.

The new Ford Ka will be available in two variants. The base variant will be priced at Rs 9.5 lakh, while the high-end SEL variant will be priced around Rs 10.7 lakh in Brazil.

This new hatch will replace the current Ford Figo when it comes to the Indian shores, and will lock horns with the new Maruti Suzuki Swift, Tata Bolt and Hyundai Grand i10.
