Ford EcoSport has tasted success in India with several awards in its kitty. The EcoSport has continued its successful journey in the country by topping the 2014 Initial Quality Survey (IQS) conducted by JD Power Survey.

JD Power surveyed 8,429 vehicle owners who purchased a new vehicle between November 2013 and July 2014. The study included 73 vehicle models from 17 makes and was fielded between May 2014 and September 2014 across 30 cities in India.

The study which is now in its 18th year measures satisfaction among new vehicle buyers in India  across eight performance categories which include exteriors, interiors, seats, engines and transmission, heating, driving experience, air-conditioning and ventilation, control and display and entertainment, navigation and audio system..

Launched in 2013, the EcoSport SUV is available with three engine options – a 1.0-litre EcoBoost, a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol unit and a 1.5-litre TDCi oil burner. The 1.0-litre EcoBoost is capable of churning out 125PS of power and 170Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine delivers 110PS of power and 140Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine produces 89PS of power and 204Nm of torque.

The Ford EcoSport SUV is available in four variants namely the Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium (O). The EcoSport retails between Rs 6.75 lakh and Rs 10.20 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
