New Destination Stores now open at Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), the world’s seventh largest automaker, has now embarked on a journey to go ‘cohesive’ with its network strategy in India. While cars under the Fiat badge were being sold in India, Jeep, part of FCA, entered India with three different models earlier this year. The mother company is now preparing for an increase in its Indian customer base, especially with the upcoming launch of the localised Jeep Compass mid-2017.

In a press release, Kevin Flynn, president and MD, FCA India said, “We intend to provide our customers with a sales and service experience as a cohesive process, one that will demonstrate our commitment that will make FCA’s existing and future customer base feel very special indeed. Our premium Destination Stores set the benchmark and reflect our new strategy and intent. All of FCA’s new Destination Stores are designed to offer a comprehensive brand experience. In addition to the care that customers will receive inside our showrooms and workshops, we have plans for outside, and will introduce Camp Jeep in India – our international property that will be an opportunity for customers to appreciate off-roading the Jeep way.”

FCA India has been on a roll since Jeep entered India. The company has added three more sales and service outlets to its existing network. India’s first FCA Destination Store, which caters to Fiat, Abarth, and Jeep customers, was opened in Mumbai recently. Both New Delhi and Chennai have got their first Jeep Destination stores. The company says that it is working hard to make its after-sales service robust and has crafted innovative schemes that aim to deliver peace of mind to its customer base.

In Europe, Fiat has a strong presence in automotive market. The company clocks decent sales numbers across several countries in the continent. Similarly, FCA-owned Jeep has a good hold in the American market. In India however, Jeep is new and Fiat has had a forgettable experience till date. While the company is busy working to revamp its dealerships and workshops, the company must also focus on bringing the cost of spare parts down and introduce competitive pricing for its products on offer.
