Eicher Trucks and buses register 34 percent growth in July 2011

One of the country's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, Eicher Trucks and Buses recorded a sales of 4152 units in July 2011

With the sales figures 34 percent higher than the sales of Eicher units in July 2010, the commercial vehicle manufacturer has recorded a growth of 38 percent in the Indian commecial vehicle market, 20.4 percent in the light and medium section and while a huge 67.6 percent growth over the numbers in July 2010. The ‘VE Series’ of fuel effficent heavy vehicles have recorded a whopping 105 percent over last year sales.

 However, the figures have dropped marginally in the export market with a sale of 217 units compared to 247 units last year. On announcing the results, Mr Siddhartha Lal, Managing Director & CEO, Eicher Motors Limited said, “Eicher has continued to accelerate the pace in both volume and financial outcome resulting in a significant Profit After Tax of 8.9%. We are working hard to build strong foundations across all operational parameters. We are constantly striving to create a differentiated pipeline of new products which will fuel growth in the years to come.”
