Ducati Diavel Diesel

If you have a thing for power cruisers and look for exclusivity in your possessions, the Diavel Diesel is just the bike for you. It is the outcome of a collaboration between Andrea Rosso, the Creative Director of Diesel Licenses, and the Ducati Design Center. In order to maintain its exclusivity, production is limited to just 666 units. As per Ducati, the Diavel Diesel draws its inspiration from an “imaginary post-apocalyptic and retro-futuristic world with a hyperkinetic vitality.” The exclusive motorcycle was unveiled during the Milan Men's Fashion Week earlier this week. However, the bike will again be on display at the upcoming Motor Bike Expo in Verona, Italy, for two days, from January 20, 2017.

Well, let’s just say that the guys at Diesel and Ducati have gone all-out to make the mean-looking devil even fiercer. The bike gets a crude look with visible welds and rivets which instantaneously puts one in the imaginary post-apocalyptic and retro-futuristic thought. These highlights are visible on the tank cover, headlight fairing and the passenger seat cover. The seat comes draped in genuine leather, bearing the symbol of a pyramid with three equal sides identifying the three Ds of Ducati, Diavel and Diesel.

The special edition Diavel Ducati also comes with anodised side conveyors made in red methacrylate with the embedded Diesel logo highlighting the exclusivity of the bike. The twin megaphone exhaust system of the bike has been treated with black Zircotec ceramic coating on the tubes while the black silencers adorn billet endcaps bearing the pyramid logo. Completing the look on the Diavel Diesel is a dash of red paint on the Brembo brake callipers, five chain links and some parts of the LCD instrument panel.

On the mechanical front, the bike remains untouched and continues to be powered by the 1198cc Testastretta 11°, L-Twin cylinder mill which churns out 164PS of power and 130Nm of peak torque.

Commenting of the limited edition Diavel Diesel, Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Motor Holding CEO said: “The collaboration with Diesel enabled us to explore original stylistic and technical aspects whilst staying within the Ducati brand and fully respecting its values. In this case, we worked with Diesel on an already uniquely original bike like the Diavel and the result was surprising to put it mildly. The details characterising the Diavel Diesel cannot fail to captivate connoisseurs of special bikes but also people from different walks of life, such as fashion. It’s always stimulating for us to move outside the world of motorcycling and widen our brand’s areas of interest.”
