DSK-Benelli has been warmly welcomed by Indian two-wheeler enthusiasts with good sales figure (780 units to be precise) and a pending order for whopping 1,130 units. They also have been constantly expanding their dealer network with the latest showroom being inaugurated in Kochi being its 12th dealership in India. To cash in on the upcoming festive season, DSK-Benelli launched a limited edition of the TNT 600i streetbike. The new Benelli TNT 600i Limited Edition has been priced at Rs 5.58 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The limited edition motorcycle gets a special golden colour paint scheme to make it stand apart from the standard variant. The bike carries a premium of Rs 20,000 over the standard variant and will production will be limited to just 60 units to maintain exclusivity. Apart from the new golden body colour, the 600i LE comes with special Benelli badging on the tank and golden finished clutch and gear levers. Also on the cards is golden foot pegs which could be introduced a little later.
Apart from the cosmetic update no changes have been done on the mechanical front. Powering the Benelli TNT 600i is a 600cc displacement inline 4-cylinder engine that makes 85PS of power and 54.6Nm of torque. All of this power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed transmission. Up front it sports upside down forks while at the back it has been fitted with an adjustable monoshock setup. Braking duties are performed with the help of twin 320mm discs and a single 240mm disc at the front and the rear respectively.
The Benelli TNT 600i is among the most popular products for the Italian brand in India and for a good reason. The TNT 600i is the cheapest inline-four cylinder motorcycle on sale and is almost 2 lakh cheaper than the Honda CBR 650F which is its closest competitor with respect to pricing. DSK-Benelli announced that they sell around 180 units on an average per month and they are aiming at pushing this figure to 300 units during the festive season.
