Nissan had introduced the Datsun Go hatch as its volume spinner. The carmaker had tried to woo young Indian buyers with the launch of this hatch. The company, however, is still struggling to sell a decent number of Datsun Go in the Indian car market. With an aim to push up its sales by capitalising on the festive mood of the India car buyers, Nissan, has come up with lucrative discounts for its customers.
These offers are available on the Nissan Datsun Go hatchback and total up to Rs 38,000. The offers include an exchange benefit of up to Rs 20,000, insurance support worth Rs 4,000, free extended warranty worth Rs 4,000 and an additional discount of Rs 10,000 on D, D1 and A variants of the Datsun Go. Customers will be able to claim the benefits till October 31, 2014.
Commenting on the special offers, Ajay Raghuvanshi, Vice-President, Sales, Marketing and Dealer Development, Nissan Group of India, said, “Festive season in India is not just a time for celebrations, but also an auspicious period for new beginnings. This makes it a perfect time for people to bring home a new car.”
“We developed the Datsun Go with a strong focus on the evolving needs of the rising Indian customer. With the special benefits, we are confident that the Datsun Go will brighten the festivities even more for our customers,” he further added.
Nissan’s budget car, the Datsun Go, is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine which produces 68PS of power and 104Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The car delivers fuel-efficiency figures of 20.6kmpl. Available in four different trims namely the D, D1, A and T, the car is retailed between the price range of Rs 3.12 lakh and Rs 3.70 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
