California Superbike School Dates Announced

California Superbike School is set to conduct two training schools in August 2019 at the Madras Motor racetrack in Chennai. Only level 1 and level 2 sessions will be conducted in the three-day event. Each batch will consist of 10 drills, with five important drills spread across two sessions.

What do these levels consist of? Level 1 will be focused towards improving the rider's throttle control, turn points and quick turn skills. Level 2 will help the riders in picking up reference points, changing racing lines and more. As a matter of fact, we did attend a CSS batch a few years. Here's what we learned -

How much does it cost? Rs 60,000 for one school, which will be inclusive of the 18 per cent GST, insurance, fuel and food. If you happen to be a female rider or someone who is under 16 years of age, a Rs 10,000 discount will be issued.

Where does it take place and for how long? One batch will span over three days at the MMRT in Chennai. The first batch is scheduled to take place from 23rd to 25th August while the second batch will run from 30th August to 1st September.

Do I need to bring my personal motorcycle and riding gear? You can bring your own bike but also have the option to opt for a TVS Apache RTR 200 at the circuit. However, you do need to carry your personal gear (can be a two-piece suit) along with a D-ring helmet.
