The Bosch Group is a leading supplier of technology and services across the globe. The Indian arm of the company has showcased an extensive range of new connected and smart solutions for beyond mobility in India. The day-long convocation mentioned new solutions that were aimed at different business sectors such as Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology.
Speaking on Beyond Mobility solutions, Dr. Steffen Berns, managing director Bosch Limited and president of the Bosch Group in India, said: “Customers are increasingly looking for suppliers who can offer them end-to-end solutions. Bosch is leveraging the combined strengths of its products to offer integrated solutions to meet the demands of customers across key growth sectors of India.”
“India benefits significantly from this aspect as it is home to Bosch’s largest engineering centre outside Germany, and we do understand the country’s local market requirements.” he further added.
Bosch India is targeting at the vertical growth in different sectors to become a solutions provider for end-to-end solutions for everyday life. On the topic of smart city segment, the company has derived mobility solutions from the research and knowledge of its core expertise. The solutions consist of Intelligent Parking Systems, wherein commuters will be able to easily find a space in crowded areas. The system uses sensors located in parking slots that detect vacancy, which is then notified to the end-user when searched. A parking slot can be pre-booked while payment can be made online. Also, on the sidelines of the Intelligent parking system, Bosch is offering Intelligent Traffic Management Systems and Citizen Safety & Security and Intelligent Transportation Systems. Bosch India is already running smart city pilot projects in Bengaluru.
