Bajaj kratos VS40

Bajaj Auto will soon be launching the VS400 in the market, and it seems that the new name has finally been decided by the domestic bike maker. Reportedly, Bajaj will be launching their new power cruiser (VS400) under the Kratos brand and will now name the bike as the Bajaj Kratos VS400. In Greek mythology, Kratos means the God of strength, and Bajaj will now be using this name for its premium brand, that will be placed above the Pulsar range. And not only will the VS400 be getting a new brand name, it will also extend Bajaj’s two-wheeler portfolio into a new segment.

As the all new Kratos range will be positioned above the Pulsar brand, it is quite obvious, that the new range will be getting a premium price tag as well. The brand's first offering, the VS400, will be launched in November. However, the launch date is still not out, but the company MD, Rajiv Bajaj, himself confirmed the month of launch.

Mechanically, the Bajaj Kratos VS400 will be powered by a 373cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that powers the KTM Duke 390. But, the VS400's motor will be tuned as per the requirement of the cruiser and will churn out 35.49PS of power, besides being mated to a six-speed gearbox. Some features on the VS 400 will include a full-LED headlamp, a digital instrument cluster, mono-shock at the rear, ABS, and the bike might also get Bajaj’s signature triple-spark technology.

Now, as this new brand will be placed above the pulsar range and will also fall in the premium price segment, expect the Bajaj Kratos VS400 to be priced around the Rs 1.8 Lakh mark.
