Bajaj Pulsar CS400 -Spied

Bajaj Auto has been testing the much-anticipated CS400 for quite some time now. The motorcycle was first showcased by the manufacturer at the 2014 Auto Expo, where it drew the attention of many Pulsar enthusiasts. Now, with the motorcycle nearing its launch this month, spied images of the CS400 have surfaced on the internet. With no camouflage to hide any details the motorcycle was spotted in a black avatar, disclosing information of the production spec model.

Bajaj Pulsar CS400 - Side Profile

Looking at the spied images, it is clear that Bajaj has not made any major changes to the overall design of the motorcycle. The front fairing sports a LED headlight setup with a swept-back visor that has been blacked out, giving the bike an aggressive look. The concept model at the expo featured USD forks while the production model will come with conventional telescopic forks. Also, the seat on the spied bike is a split design instead of a single piece one. Bajaj has equipped the production-spec CS400 with the same alloy wheels that were showcased on the concept bike. The CS400 comes with a split instrument cluster with an LCD display located between the handlebars displaying the tachometer, trip meter, fuel gauge and other details. The other is mounted on the tank and will display the speed and gear position.

Bajaj Pulsar CS400 - Engine

Powering the Bajaj CS400 will be a 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel injected motor borrowed from the KTM 390 Duke. The engine will be tuned to suit the characteristics of the bike and is likely to develop around 35PS of power and 33Nm of torque. It will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox with tweaks done for more low-end power. Apart from the different engine covers, the engine of the CS400 will have Bajaj’s signature Triple-Spark Technology for improved performance and efficiency.
