Ejector seat, guns behind the indicators, the Aston Martin DB5 will feature star in the next Bond film, Skyfall.
The DB5 was on screen for about 13 minutes in the 1964 film, Goldfinger, and earned the title of ‘the most famous car in the world”. The car has since then featured in four other Bond films, namely Thunderball (1965), Golden Eye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) and Casino Royale (2006).
According to a video, (See: Sam Mendes talks about the return of Aston Martin DB5) the DB5 might feature in a chase scene and sport the same number plates as the original DB5 driven by Sean Connery, BMT 216A. The original gadget-fitted car was sold for a whopping $4.1 million (Rs 22 crore) in 2010.
"We've used different cars from time to time, but we've always come back to Aston Martin," Michael G Wilson, the producer for Skyfall said. "It's a signature car for Bond."
