Surviving a hundred years in any sort of industry is nothing short of extraordinary. Add to that the fact that you’ve repeatedly set benchmarks in sports car circles worldwide and furthermore established a brand that proudly rubs shoulders with none other than James Bond, and you know you stand for something special.
To mark the 100th year of its existence as a luxury sports car manufacturer Aston Martin has unveiled a bespoke new Centenary Edition Vanquish model that could get any Aston fan salivating in a matter of seconds.
Featuring a custom paint finish, solid sterling silver Aston Martin wing badges with tailored ‘trans flux’ enamel inlay and a special Aston Martin hallmark, the exterior of the bespoke Vanquish is a magnificent showcase of the company’s 100-year history.
Incidentally the Centenary Edition treatment that will be available to customers worldwide isn’t confined to just the Vanquish model, but Aston Martin’s complete range that includes the V8 Vantage, the DB9 and Rapide.
Aston Martin CEO, Dr Ulrich Bez, who played a key role in the creation of the unique paint treatment explained, “Clearly, the centenary of Aston Martin is a great occasion for our business, our customers, and our fans around the world. It is only right, then, that we have developed these exceptional Centenary Edition models which will, I am sure, quickly become highly desirable and sought-after.”
The insides on the Centenary Edition models seek inspiration from a different yet very special Aston Martin; the One-77 hypercar’s once exclusive deep soft black leather treatment with contrasting silver stitching and individually numbered solid sterling silver sill plaques will now extend to the inside treatment on all Centenary Edition models.
100 examples of each Centenary Edition model line will be supplied with a unique presentation box containing a number of exclusive gifts to mark the company’s centennial year. These include two glass keys, two bespoke key pouches, silver cufflinks, a Rollerball pen and Bang & Olufsen headphones. Also, don’t forget the silver polishing cloth if you want your centenary wings badges and sill plaques shinning like new.
Understandably some specification details will vary across overseas markets, but Aston Martin’s global headquarters and manufacturing facility at Gaydon will be solely responsible to get the job done. Available to order now, prices for the Centenary Edition models are obtainable on application at Aston Martin’s 146 dealers in 46 countries worldwide.
