The 2017 edition of Suzuki GSX-S1000 and the Suzuki GSX-S1000F have received noteworthy updates in the European market. As far as new additions are concerned, both the bikes get a power bump of 10PS over their predecessors, taking the final count to 150PS. The duo also gains a bit of torque, which now stands at 108Nm at 9,500rpm. Suzuki explains that the increased figures are the result of new crankcase ventilation holes.

To make downshifting at high speed smooth, the GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F get a slipper clutch unit. Other new additions include blacked out clutch and brake levers, along with foot controls. In addition, the GSX-S1000F also gets a black tinted windscreen. The GSX-S1000 will be available in blue-black and red-black colour options, whereas the S1000F gets an additional all white colour option. There’s also a matte black Phantom special edition available with the GSX-S1000 in the European markets.

Both the bikes, as you might already know, are also available in India, but in their 2016 avatar. Provided the decent demand of Suzuki’s superbikes in the country, we expect the updated bike along with the GSX-S1000F, the faired sibling of the stock bike, to arrive at Indian shores soon. The GSX-S1000 is currently available for around Rs 13,84,000, while the GSX-S1000F is offered at Rs 14,35,000 (all prices ex-showroom). However, the updates may push the price a bit higher.
