2017 Harley-Davidson Motorcycles Launching On November 8

Harley-Davidson India is set to expand its portfolio in the Indian two-wheeler market by launching three of its 2017 models on November 8, 2016. The upcoming models of the American bikemaker include the 2017 CVO Limited, Road Glide Special, and the Roadster. These bikes will be powered by the new Milwaukee-Eight V-twins motors, which are mechanically more advanced compared to the previous Twin-Cam engines.

CVO Limited

The previous-gen CVO Limited and the Road Glide Special are already available in the Indian market. However, the Roadster will be a new offering from Harley in the Indian market. The 2017 CVO Limited will be powered by the 1,868cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-twin motor (a new engine) which will now churn out 10 per cent more torque (165 Nm) at just 3,250rpm. The bike will be now be featuring keyless ignition, adjustable suspension setup, Reflex Linked Brembo brakes with ABS, Box 6.5GT infotainment system and much more.

Road Glide Special

On the other hand, the 2017 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special has been updated with the new Milwaukee-Eight 107. This motor will also be producing 10 per cent more torque and power as compared to the Twin-Cam 103 of the previous generation model. The bike will now feature a Jukebox with USB port and will shares most of the advanced features with the bigger CVO Limited except the keyless ignition.

The new Harley-Davidson Roadster which is based on the popular Forty-Eight will now be getting a sporty treatment. The bike highlights aggressive styling with chopped fenders and lowered handlebars. Mechanically, the bike will be powered by the same 1,200cc, air-cooled, Evolution V-Twin that produces 96Nm of torque. Normally Harley-Davidsons have a very laid back riding style, but, the Roadster has a very aggressive riding stance which makes it a different bike in the segment.

The Roadster is expected to be priced around the Rs 10 lakh mark and it is expected that Harley might as well charge a bit extra for the 2017 models of the CVO Limited and the Road Glide Special as well. Stay tuned for live updates from our Twitter and Facebook feeds tomorrow.
