Upcoming Two-Wheeler Launches In March 2024

INTERMOT is a motorcycle trade show that is held in Germany and witnesses the participation of several motorcycle manufacturer from across the globe. At this biennial event, BMW Motorrad has unveiled the 2017 edition of its 4-cylinder models. Belonging to this genre of motorcycles by BMW Motorrad are the S 1000 RR, S 1000 R and S 1000 XR models, all of which have undergone revisions for the year 2017. All the three models are now EU4-compliant.
New BMW S 1000 RR:
The S 1000 RR is a supersports offering by BMW Motorrad that has been perfected further with the 2017 edition. Along with the equipment on offer with the current version, on the feature front, the revised version gets ABS Pro as optional equipment while DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) is offered as standard. The 2017 model will be offered as a single-seat model with a passenger seat cowl. The passenger package will be available as an option at no extra charge. Along with the existing colour scheme options of Racing Red, Light White and BMW Motorsport, the 2017 S 1000 RR is now available in Granite Grey and Blackstorm colour shades as well.
New BMW S 1000 R:
For the 2017 edition, the engine of the dynamic roadster has been tuned to produce higher performance figures. The power output is now 165PS, as compared to 160PS in the previous model. The bike now has a significantly reduced fairing and new frame structure with lighter frame section for the rear, which has helped BMW Motorrad shed the overall weight of the motorcycle by 2 kg. As a new optional equipment, the S 1000 R is available with light high-performance forged wheels which are 2.4 kg lighter than the standard wheels. An HP Shift Assistant Pro is also on offer as an extra option. Other upgrades include vibration-free handlebars, HP titanium rear silencer and ABS Pro. The multifunction instrument console has also be updated for improved readability and also has provision for displaying outdoor temperature. New colour options available on the 2017 S 1000 R consists of Racing Red, Blackstorm, Catalano Grey and BMW Motorsport.
New BMW S 1000 XR:
The 2017 model of the S 1000 XR also receives an increased engine output like the S 1000 R. Belonging to the adventure sports category, BMW Motorrad has increased the maximum permissible weight from 434 to 444 kg. With this update, the payload carrying capacity of the motorcycle has increased by 10 kg. Vibration-free handlebars are also a part of the update for added comfort. The S 1000 XR, which was available in existing colour schemes of Racing Red with Lightwhite and Granite Grey with Racing Red, now gets a new colour variant of Ocean Blue.
