The 11th-generation Accord gets sleeker and cleaner styling than its predecessors.
Multiple powertrain options including a turbo-petrol and hybrid powertrains.
Features the largest 12.3-inch touchscreen fitted to a Honda ever.
Packs 10 airbags and a host of ADAS technology.
Offered in five trims in the US: LX, EX, Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring.
In a day and age where sedans are no longer the go-to choice for the majority, Honda is sticking to one of the oldest nameplates in its garage. The Accord is back for its 11th-generation and comes packing cosmetic, features, mechanical, and powertrain changes. Let’s take a look at everything new and everything that’s not.
The new-generation Accord gives you a sense of elegance and sophistication as soon as you lay your eyes on it for the first time.
The sleek LED headlights have a smoky effect to them and flank the black crosshatched grille. The overall design is clean and smooth, and only a single crease runs the profile of the car. It also rolls on large dual-tone alloy rims that add a sense of premiumness to the overall design. The tail lights have multiple elements inside featuring strips of LED lights that round off the overall design.

The sense of premiumness continues to flow inside the cabin with high-quality materials and a well laid out cabin for improved ergonomics. The crosshatched grille pattern is seen on the AC vents trim that runs across the dashboard. However, there’s no getting over the fact that its design is similar to other Honda offerings like the new-gen Civic and CR-V.
Honda has gone all-in for the new-generation of the Accord with a 12.3-inch infotainment system – the largest on any Honda yet. In addition, the infotainment will get a built-in Google integration, which is also a first for the brand. Other notable features include digital driver’s display (standard) wireless phone charging, 12-speaker Bose sound system, six-inch heads-up display and connected car technology.
Safety has also been given a priority with 10 airbags including knee and rear-passenger side impact airbags and a host of ADAS features consisting of adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and more.
Unlike the previous generation, which classified the hybrid-powered Accord as a completely different model altogether (like the City Hybrid), this time the hybrid variants are part of a single model. Offered in a total of six variants, the lower LX and EX trims get a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine geared via a CVT gearbox producing 195PS and 260Nm. The remaining trims get a sole hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2-litre petrol engine paired to a two-motor hybrid system combining together to produce 207PS and 335Nm.

While there is no dope on the Accord’s plans for India, there’s little to no chance for the premium sedan to make its way here as it was discontinued back in 2020. If launched here, the Accord will replenish its rivalry with the Skoda Superb and Toyota Camry Hybrid.
