Watch Wednesdays: A Watch Inspired By a Rocket-Powered Harley-Davidson

This Bell & Ross B-Rocket watch is unique to our series due to two reasons. It is the first watch here built by a French watchmaker and unlike our previous watches, the Harley-Davidson B-rocket custom bike is inspired by the watch. In fact, to promote it Bell & Ross partnered with Shaw Harley Davidson to create custom motorcycles to represent their watches. The motorcycle to represent the Bell & Ross B-Rocket is an apt custom Harley streamliner with turbines bolted on both sides.

Bell & Ross watches are timelessly cool owing to their unique round dial inside a square bezel. This one achieves an industrial look via its satin polished stainless steel case with four functional screws on the corners holding the case down. It contrasts well with the matte black dial face with its red and steel tachymeter rings on the circumference held together with exposed screws. It has a padded black leather strap with a red border.

The B-Rocket timepiece gets an anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass face and is water-resistant up to 100 metres. There is a knurled steel circular winder on the side flanked by red and silver buttons. It has an automatic movement with a power reserve of 42 hours. The main watch face shows the hour, minute and seconds while the three sub dials show 60 seconds, 30 minutes and 12-hours chronograph movement, and a small date display window. The stainless steel case back too has an industrial-looking etched signboard display vibe.

The Bell & Ross B-Rocket watch is a limited edition timepiece with only 500 units made. While the price is on request, a pre-owned watch costs around 5,350 USD (approx Rs 4 lakh).
