Tata Sierra All Variants Expected Prices: How The Line-Up Could Shape Up

While announcing the base Smart+ 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol manual variant last month, Tata had already confirmed that the starting price of the all-new Sierra will be Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Although prices are to be announced in the first week of December, here is what we expect each variant of the Sierra to be priced like.

The Sierra will be offered with three engines and five powertrain options:

• 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol – 6-Speed MT / 7-Speed DCT

• 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (T-GDI) – 6-Speed AT

• 1.5-litre diesel – 6-Speed MT / 6-Speed AT

Across these, Tata will offer the Sierra in 7 variants: Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, Adventure+, Accomplished, and Accomplished+.

1.5-Litre Naturally Aspirated Petrol: The Most Accessible Sierra

The naturally aspirated petrol engine is the most accessible Sierra powertrain and forms the backbone of the lower and mid variants. It comes with a 6-speed manual as standard, while a DCT automatic is available on select trims.

The DCT auto option appears only from Pure onward, keeping pricing realistic for urban buyers who want convenience without spending on the top trims.

1.5-Litre Turbo-Petrol (T-GDI): For Buyers Who Want Performance

The 1.5-litre T-GDI engine will be available exclusively with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, and only with the higher variants..

This engine positions the Sierra against turbo-petrol rivals such as the Hyundai Creta Turbo and Kia Seltos Turbo DCT, offering punchier performance and a more premium driving experience.

1.5-Litre Diesel: The Most Versatile Powertrain

The 1.5-litre diesel engine is likely to be offered across the widest spread of variants, with a 6-speed manual and a torque-converter automatic.

Priced very similarly to the turbo-petrol, the diesel AT will aim at buyers looking for effortless long-distance cruising and frugality.
