In Royal Enfield’s parent company Eicher Motors Limited’s business results of Q3 FY 2025 conference call, the brand has revealed a crucial detail about the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 launch timeline. When asked about the Royal Enfield electric bike launch, B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield, revealed: “....around the first quarter of 2026 will be the time where it will be hitting the market.”
Back when the Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 and S6 were unveiled in November 4, 2024, the bikemaker had mentioned that it will be available for retail in Spring 2026 (which is from March 2026 to June 2026). It is evident that the Flying Flea C6 will likely be launched in March 2026 as that will also help the brand close the financial year on a high note. The first Royal Enfield electric bike will be made at the company’s upcoming EV manufacturing facility in Vallam Vadagal, Tamil Nadu.

He also mentioned that the brand targets a capacity of around 1.5 lakh units per annum at the new electric vehicle plant. It may not necessarily sell that many motorcycles as that will depend on the demand. The electric bike will by no means be cheap, we expect it to cost around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). For perspective, Revolt Motors (presently India’s most popular and best-selling electric motorcycle maker) managed to tally only 9,955 registrations in the entirety of calendar year 2024 as per the Vahan portal. Their bikes cost only about Rs 1-1.5 lakh ex-showroom.
The output from the plant will be scalable, and will also be modular so Royal Enfield will be able to tweak it as per the market requirements. Once the classic roadster-style C6 is launched, expect the brand to follow it up with the scrambler-style Flying Flea S6 in the following months.

As for the Spanish electric mobility company Stark Future and Royal Enfield’s association with it, the latter had made a strategic investment of 50 million Euros back in December 2022. This collaboration remains a strategic one with Stark helping Royal Enfield with light weighting, design modularity, innovations in motor controller, battery controller and their integration. In return, Royal Enfield offers them its expertise on scale and supply chain operations. Hence, a Stark electric motorcycle launch is not on the anvil at the moment.
Zig Says:

The electric motorcycle segment in India is all set to get all the more exciting in the coming months. Ola Electric will start deliveries of the Roadster range from March 2025, so Royal Enfield has about a year to study the market performance of Ola’s electric bikes. Honda stands to gain even more insights as its upcoming electric commuter bike will likely be launched only in 2028. If Honda, Ola Electric and Royal Enfield’s ‘pilot projects’ work well, expect other legacy brands like Bajaj, Suzuki, Yamaha and TVS to jump into the bandwagon as well.
