Royal Enfield has debuted a new special edition of the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 called the Thunder & Lightning editions in Europe. Here’s everything the new editions of the 650cc twins feature:
This edition of the cafe racer features a taller and tinted windshield, bar-end mirror, aluminium sump protection, stainless steel engine protection bar and soft panniers in black, as well as the associated mounting kit, which are all original Royal Enfield accessories.
The Thunder edition is available in Rocker Red, British Racing Green, Ventura Storm, Dux Deluxe and Mr. Clean colour schemes, which are all on sale in India. In Germany this edition costs an equivalent of Rs 6.9 lakh to Rs 7.1 lakh depending on the colour.
Similar to its sibling, this edition of the Interceptor gets accessories including a taller tinted windshield, touring mirrors, brown touring seat, aluminium sump guard, stainless steel engine guard and black soft panniers.
It is available in Canyon Red, Ventura Blue, Orange Crush, Sunset Strip, Downtown Drag, Baker Express and Mark II colour variants, which are already available in India. It flaunts a sticker price equivalent to Rs 6.8 lakh to Rs 7.08 lakh in Germany.
