Prices for the base-spec variant of the Magnite ranges from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 6.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Even though there is no increase in the entry-level pricing of the facelited model, you should note that the pricing is introductory and applies to the first 10,000 deliveries only.
Just like most base-spec variants, the Magnite Visia misses out on many premium design elements and looks very basic to say the least. It comes with the new grill, which is surrounded by chrome accents. It features halogen headlamps, and misses out on the LED lighting elements up front. Fog lamps and a silver skid plate is also something that is restricted to the higher-spec variants.
In profile, it features 16-inch steel wheels, while the higher-spec variants get 16-inch alloy wheels. The turn indicators are placed on the front fender, and you get body-coloured ORVMs and door handles finished in chrome. It comes with functional roof rails (with load-carrying capacity of 50 kg) which accentuate the SUV stance.
At the rear, it gets the new tweaked design for the tail lights which are not LEDs in this particular variant. It gets a neatly integrated roof spoiler, but misses out on a shark fin antenna and a silver skid plate.

The base-spec variant is available only in two shades: Storm White and Blade Silver
The Visia variant of the Magnite features a black-themed interior which is complemented by the dark themed dual-tone fabric seats. The good thing is that it gets a centre armrest for the rear seats with cup holders. It also gets all four power windows which is not very common on base-spec variants. However, it misses out on a music system and speakers for which you will have to rely on aftermarket options.
Apart from additional comfort and convenience features, higher-spec variants also come with leatherette finishes all over the cabin and a dual-tone theme for a premium feel.
Apart from the aforementioned features, it gets analogue dials with multi-information display (MID), tilt adjustable steering, a 12V front power outlet, and 60:40 split rear seat. In terms of safety, it gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, hill start assist, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) and rear parking sensors.
The base-spec variant is equipped with a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which generates 72 PS and 96 Nm. It can be paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT. Higher-spec variants come with the option of a 100 PS 1-litre turbo-petrol engine which can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
The Magnite facelift gives a tougher fight to the Tata Punch, Toyota Taisor, Maruti Fronx, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Citroen Basalt, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Hyundai Venue.
