
Nissan Magnite’s Getting A Red Edition On July 18

Nissan India has announced the production of its 50,000th Magnite sub-4m SUV. Despite the global pandemic and chip shortage, the carmaker has maintained the pace at its production facility in Chennai to achieve the new landmark.
Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director of Nissan India, says that the Magnite has amassed over 1 lakh bookings since its launch in December 2020. He says, “... love for Nissan Magnite is phenomenal (sic) with it being the most awarded Nissan Vehicle (sic) in the Indian market with strong customer demand with more than one lakh plus bookings demonstrating the Nissan’s (sic) global SUV DNA and technology.”
The India-made sub-4m is a global model offered in fifteen other countries across. Apart from our neighbours, the Magnite is exported to South Africa, Indonesia, Seychelles, Brunei. It’s also been introduced in African markets like Kenya, Mozambique, and Uganda.

In India, the Nissan Magnite retails from Rs 5.76 lakh (ex-showroom). Alongside its platform cousin the Renault Kiger, the Magnite rivals sub-4m SUVs such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Honda WR-V.
