Honda Italy has released a new teaser for the Hornet concept providing an idea of what the bike’s exhaust note will be like. The streetfighter concept was announced at EICMA 2021 as a computer render and marked the revival of BigWing’s iconic brand name.
Up until now, the new Hornet concept was speculated to be powered by a 750cc twin-cylinder engine. The exhaust note in the latest teaser certainly breathes some truth into that speculation. The teaser concludes with the brand name along with a minimalistic Hornet with the tagline ‘Shake up the hive’.
The design of the bike is yet unclear, but the computer render showed a really futuristic-looking streetfighter with a really sharp body design. Bear in mind that Honda has not officially confirmed a production version of the Hornet.
We could be getting a couple of more teasers between now and EICMA 2022, which is when the bike is expected to be showcased, at least in concept form. Production of the Hornet might start from late 2023 onwards.
