MG Motor India has implemented a new ‘MG Service On Wheels’ initiative that will allow customers to enjoy the ease of getting their motor serviced while being at the comfort of their home. It has only been introduced Rajkot initially, but the marque has plans to implement the initiative in other major cities across India as well.

How will it work?

You can book an appointment on MG’s website and schedule the service at the time of your convenience. MG will send a mobile workshop to your doorstep that will be fully equipped with all the necessary tools to carry out the service. Apart from regular service and maintenance, the mobile workshop will also be equipped to deal with any unforeseen repairs if needed.

The mobile workshop will be equipped with the following tools:

  • Hydraulic scissor lift attached to a hydraulic power pack

  • Air compressor with washing pump and provision for dry wash

  • Digital oil dispenser

  • Waste oil collection tank

  • Filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) unit

  • Wheel balancer with slider

  • Electric control box

  • Spare parts rack

MG’s ‘Service On Wheels’ initiative is one of the few customer-centric programs launched by the carmaker. Other services under its belt include ‘My MG Shield’ and ‘MG Care@Home’.

MG Motor India introduces doorstep vehicle repair and maintenance with ‘MG Service on Wheels’

Gurugram, 20, 2022: MG Motor India introduced ‘MG Service on Wheels’ initiative to provide customers with car repair and maintenance services from the comfort of their homes. This service outreach program reinforces the company’s commitment to providing faster and more efficient service for ease and convenience of its customers. The pilot version of the program has been introduced in Rajkot and the company plans to cover other upcountry markets across India in future.

The ‘MG Service on Wheels’ is a full suite of services to help customers in the periodic maintenance of their vehicles in addition to addressing any repair and upkeep requirements that may arise. It will cover most service operations that are otherwise provided only in a workshop. The program will be manned and operated by fully trained and certified technicians backed by MG’s seamless customer support. This will bolster service network and extend reach across existing market.

‘MG Service on Wheels’ will operate as a mobile workshop equipped with all the necessary tools, spare parts, and other consumables and digital assets to support immediate and unforeseen yet urgent vehicle maintenance requirements.  The program will be powered by a simple and effortless appointment booking system. It will allow customers to connect with the company and schedule their car maintenance at their convenience.

About Service on Wheels

The Service on Wheels initiative will be operationalized through a mobile workshop. The mobile workshop comes equipped with a hydraulic scissor lift attached to a hydraulic power pack, an air compressor with a washing pump and additional provision for dry wash, a digital oil dispenser, a waste oil collection tank, and a pneumatic line with a filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) unit. In addition to this, there is provision for a fully stacked spare parts rack and illumination through an LED lamp. The workshop vehicle also has a wheel balancer with slider, an electric control box, and a first-aid box.
