Hero Xoom 160 Launched At Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

Hero MotoCorp has launched its upcoming maxi scooter, the Xoom 160 in India. The maxi scooter was first unveiled at EICMA 2023, and now it has finally come to India. The Xoom 160 is offered at a price of Rs 1,48,500 (ex-showroom). The deliveries of the scooter will likely begin from the first week of March 2025.

The Hero Xoom 160 features a maxi scooter like design, with a few rigged bits here and there that makes it stand out. It gets a tall apron with a raised windscreen. It also features a split LED headlight setup, which makes the front section look similar to what we have seen on ADV bikes.

It will be powered by a 156cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which produces 14PS and 13.7Nm. The scooter will also get a silent starter along with Hero’s i3S system, which is an idle-start-stop system that will help increase the scooter’s mileage. 

The scooter gets a telescopic fork and twin-rear shock absorbers. The braking setup consists of disc brakes at both ends. The scooter rolls on what appears to be 14-inch alloys with block pattern tyres. This adds a bit more rugged look and feel to the scooter overall.

Features wise, the Xoom 160 has a LCD instrument console. The console offers smartphone connectivity and related features such as call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. The scooter will also offer keyless ignition, which is a really nice addition and adds a bit of premium feel overall.

The Xoom 160 is an exciting scooter, which will bring more variety to the maxi scooter segment in India. Currently there are only two other scooters available, including the Aprilia SR 160 and the Yamaha Aerox 155. With the Xoom 160, we can expect more people to get into the maxi scooter segment.
