Hero Splendor Plus Xtec Same Price Other Options

Hero MotoCorp surprised everyone by launching the Xtec variant of its highest-selling motorcycle, the Splendor Plus. The feature-loaded bike now retails at Rs 72,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). That said, if you aren’t a fan of the new Hero bike, don’t worry, because we have a few similarly priced alternatives that you could go for instead:

  1. Bajaj Platina 110 top end variant

Bajaj Platina 110

Starting at Rs 69,216 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Platina 110’s top variant undercuts the Splendor by Rs 3,684. For a lower price, you get an additional 0.7PS and 1.76Nm along with an extra gear, for, the Platina H Gear is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox. This makes this bike a very sweet deal indeed. If you have your eyes on a motorcycle that has comparatively more performance and better highway legs, the Platina 110 H Gear might be a good option for you.

  1. Hero Electric Photon

For Rs 80,790, the Hero Electric Photon is surely on the expensive side, but then again, it’s an EV, which means lower running costs. If you’re looking to jump on to the electric bandwagon and want to save yourself a bit of cash by bypassing petrol altogether,, you can consider getting yourself the Hero Electric Photon.

While the drum variant of the Honda Shine retails at Rs 76,314, the disc one is priced at Rs 80,314. For the extra money, you get a comparatively bigger, 123.9cc engine with 10.75PS and 11Nm on tap, a lot more than the Splendor Xtec. The disc brake on the more expensive variant on the Shine should also translate to much better braking performance. So, if the Splendor seems underpowered, the Honda Shine might just make more sense to you.

  1. TVS Jupiter 110

The TVS Jupiter 110’s SMW and base variants undercut the Splendor Xtec, retailing at Rs 68,571 and RS 71,571 respectively. The other variants cost between Rs 75,546 and Rs 79,316. For the extra money you get yourself one of the best scooters in India, which we think makes more sense for urban commuting.

  1. Honda Activa
