The cabin layout is similar to the new Creta, but with a new theme and feature additions for the second row It will be available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations. Bookings are already open for the upcoming SUV for a token amount of Rs 25,000. For now, let's take a look at the interior of the SUV:
At first glance, you notice that the dashboard design and layout is similar to that of the facelifted Hyundai Creta which was launched in the beginning of 2024. But the Alcazar’s cabin has been distinguished as the dashboard now gets dual-tone Noble Brown and Haze Navy (Blue) hues.It is dominated by the dual 10.25-inch displays for the infotainment system and driver’s display and placed below the infotainment screen are the AC Vents, which are now horizontal . There’s also a new panel for the climate control, which gets dual-zone functionality.
The Alcazar will be available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations. The 6-seater version will get captain seats with improved cushioning and foldable armrests along with winged headrests. Opting for the captain seat variant means you get seat ventilation for the second row as well. The 7-seater variants will come with one-touch tumble feature for easier ingress and egress into the third row. The second row passengers also get the convenience of a wireless phone charger along with two USB Type-C charging ports.
Apart from the aforementioned features, you get a dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, 8-way power seats for driver and co-driver, memory seats for the driver, multi-colour ambient lighting, and a Bose sound system.
In terms of safety, it is expected to get a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic parking brake with auto hold function, level-2 ADAS features and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
The Alcazar will be available with a 160 PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 116 PS 1.5-litre diesel engine engine. Both engines will be offered with a standard 6-speed manual transmission. Automatic options will include a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic for the turbo-petrol and a 6-speed torque converter for the diesel.
The Hyundai Alcazar facelift is likely to be priced from around Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rekindle its rivalry with the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and three-row versions of the Mahindra XUV700. It will also be an alternative to MPVs like the Toyota Innova Crysta and Kia Carens.
