Gets more features and performance parts as standard!

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera Launched Aborad

Ducati has expanded its single-cylinder supermoto lineup globally with the launch of the new Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera. The new variant is scheduled to reach European dealerships in June 2026 and brings a stealthier design along with a few added features over the standard model.

The “Nera” name, which translates to black in Italian, perfectly reflects the motorcycle’s appearance. The bike now gets a blacked-out finish, while the signature Ducati Red frame and alloy wheels add contrast.

More Features As Standard

One of the biggest updates on the Nera is the addition of Ducati’s bidirectional quickshifter, which is now available as standard equipment.

The motorcycle also comes equipped with homologated Termignoni silencers featuring black-finished end caps and subtle red highlights, further complementing the dark-themed styling package.

Same Hardcore Superquadro Mono Engine

Powering the Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera is the same 659cc Superquadro Mono single-cylinder engine seen on the standard bike. The motor churns out 77.5PS and can rev all the way up to 10,250rpm. Ducati claims the Nera tips the scales at 151kg in ready-to-ride condition without fuel.

Electronics Loaded To The Brim

As you would expect from a modern Ducati bike, the electronics package is extensive. The motorcycle gets cornering ABS with Slide-by-Brake functionality, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, launch control and multiple ride modes.

For riders looking for even more performance, Ducati also offers a race-spec Termignoni exhaust system for track use, which bumps power up by an additional 7PS.

Price And India Launch Details

The Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera has been priced at EUR 13,990 (approximately Rs 15.61 lakh when converted to Indian currency). While Ducati has not confirmed whether the motorcycle will make its way to the Indian market, we do expect that it will come at a slight premium over the current Rs 17,63,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi) price of the regular Hypermotard 698 Mono.
