After Honda, Jawa has also decided to reopen its dealerships and workshops across India. According to sources, it has already started around 20 to 25 dealerships in select cities after securing permission from local authorities. The bikemaker will follow a set of social distancing and sanitisation protocols for the safety of all those involved. Jawa also plans to offer contactless services to its customers to reduce the need for dealership visits.
For starters, representatives would visit customers on an appointment basis. Jawa will also provide digital support to potential customers through phone, WhatsApp and email with the option of completing the entire documentation process online. The bikemaker will also offer doorstep test rides and deliveries of its bikes like Harley-Davidson.
The dealerships and workshops along with the display and test ride motorcycles would be sanitised at regular intervals. Jawa will train its staff on following the safety guidelines. Employees and customers will be subject to thermal screening before entering the showroom or workshop.
