Suzuki’s surprising decision to join the entry-level ADV fray with the VStrom 250 SX

In a surprising move, Suzuki entered the entry-level ADV space with the V-Strom SX. The ADV borrows from the Gixxer 250 its chassis and the engine, and then starts to build an adventure-styled touring identity for itself. The SX gets the basic ADV starter kit with 19-/17-inch alloy wheels, dual purpose MRF MoGrip Meteor tyres, 205mm ground clearance and a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that churns out 26.5PS and 22.2Nm. But is it enough?  Read our full story to know the chink in the VStrom 250 SX’s armour.

The German bikemaker has even managed to offer more value by trimming down on the prices for the F850 GS and F850 GSA with the latter receiving a substantial price cut.
