Ever since Tata Motors revealed the Curvv, it's clear that its styling maintains familiarity with other models in the carmaker's lineup, especially when compared side-by-side with the Nexon. However, the Curvv is a SUV coupe and will compete in a segment higher than that of the Nexon. Keeping this into account, take a look at all the exterior design similarities and differences between the Tata Curvv and Nexon.
The Tata Curvv and Nexon share a consistent family look, with key design elements that tie them together. Up front, both models feature a split headlamp and grille setup. While the Curvv’s grille design seems inspired by the Harrier, one has to note that the connected LED DRLs are lifted off from the Nexon EV.
Additionally, the lower part of the grille on both models has similarly shaped inserts, and they also share similar triangular headlight housings. Both also feature a silver-finished skid plate.
When you view the first half of the silhouette of both models, they look similar to each other with similar fender design. Even the front doors seem nearly identical, with the obvious differences being the flush door handles and distinct alloy wheel design on the Curvv.
It’s from the B-pillar where the main changes for the Curvv begin over the Tata Nexon. The Curvv’s sloping roofline and larger size are one of the clear distinguishing factors from the Nexon.

Both models have body cladding, but the one on Curvv appears more muscular and premium with its gloss black finish. The Curvv also features flush door handles, unlike the Nexon’s traditional door handles, and rides on larger petal-styled alloy wheels compared to the Nexon’s 16-inch alloys.
At the rear, the Nexon has a more pronounced roof-mounted spoiler, while the Curvv boasts a split spoiler setup. Both models include a full-width LED light bar, but the Nexon’s light bar splits into a Y shape at the edges.
Although Tata Motors has not yet unveiled the interior of the Curvv, previous spy shots indicate that the cabin design will likely resemble that of the Nexon. It is expected to include features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, powered and ventilated front-row seats, and wireless phone charging.
Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS.
Tata is expected to offer the Curvv with two engine options: a 125 PS / 225 Nm 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo petrol engine and a 115 PS / 260 Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine sourced from the Nexon. It will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, with petrol engine variants likely featuring a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Tata Curvv EV will go on sale first on August 7, followed by the ICE-powered Curvv, which will be launched later this year.
The Curvv is likely to be priced from around Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom), while the electric version could start from around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, the Curvv will lock horns with the upcoming Citroen Basalt and will offer an SUV-coupe alternative to the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Honda Elevate, and Skoda Kushaq. Meanwhile, the Curvv EV will go up against the MG ZS EV, BYD Atto 3 as well as the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti Suzuki eVX.
