This Is The Spanish Alternative To The NTorq 125

Mitt Motorcycles, a Spanish bikemaker, has launched the 2022 Alpha 125 in the European market. This isn’t the most powerful or feature-rich scooter in its segment, yet it stands apart from the general crop of scooters thanks to its design.

The Alpha 125 is very compact, and doesn’t have very futuristic or retro styling. Rather, Mitt chose to have the best of both. So while the body panels follow a very traditional European design, bits like the vertical headlight, the apron-mounted LED DRL, the split LED taillight and the LCD console are anything but retro.

Mitt has equipped the Alpha 125 with an air-cooled 125cc motor that makes 9.38PS at 8500rpm and 8.8Nm at 6000rpm. For reference, the TVS NTorq develops 9.38PS and 10.5Nm. 

The 2022 Mitt Alpha 125 has been equipped with a telescopic fork and dual shocks, while braking has been entrusted to disc brakes at both ends. However, instead of ABS this scooter only gets the safety of a combined braking system. The Alpha 125 runs on 12-inch tyres at both ends and tips the scales at 108kg.

Mitt has priced the Alpha 125 at EUR 2290 which translates to roughly Rs 1.92 lakh. While this isn’t certainly heading to our shores, we have the NTorq 125 Race XP that makes more performance and is more affordable as well.
