There are hardly any similarities between the two

Ulttraviolette has unveiled yet another electric beast at Auto Expo 2023. The track-spec F99 racing bike platform is a powerful electric motorcycle developed for a factory racing program, and here’s how it differs from the F77.

While the F99 does retain the futuristic and sporty silhouette of the road-legal F77, it flaunts features that scream racing. First off, it gets winglets! These aero bits, located at the sides, are meant to direct cool air to the battery pack and motor to keep them running at optimum temperatures.

It flaunts a carbon fibre number plate instead of the LED headlight seen on the F77 and also gets carbon fibre aero-covers for the stylish 17-inch rims. Fancy!

The battery pack and motor are completely different, as they need to push out a lot more performance virtually all the time. This motor belts out a massive 50kW of peak power, 21kW more than the F77 Recon, and hence, the F99 can hit a top speed of 200kmph (claimed), nearly 50kmph more.

To make it even sportier, the F99 gets a customisable riding posture with CNC machined rear-sets.

The disc brakes and the Bybre calipers are identical to its street-legal siblings. However, we think that for racing application, the brake pads might be upgraded to sintered units The race bike flaunts sticky Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres to improve the control over the bike with the increased performance.

Ultraviolette Automotive had announced its plan to debut its own racing league in 2035. However, with the unveiling of the F99 race platform, will the racing league happen as soon as this year? We shall find out more details soon enough.
