This year’s IPL season came down to the very last ball of the rain-trenched, nail-biting final, which led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to victory for the fifth time. While undoubtedly the main trophy is the centre of attention, the competition also recognises individual efforts as it did with Glenn Maxwell, who won the Tiago EV Electric Striker Of The Season Award for his strike rate of 183 over the duration of the season.
The prize included a trophy, cash cheque of Rs 1 lakh, and the RCB player could also get handed over the keys of the Tata Tiago EV, which was the main vehicle sponsor for the 2023 IPL.

As part of this sponsorship, Tata had also announced that every time a player hits the Tiago EV in the stands, it’ll donate Rs 5 lakh towards a charitable cause. As a result of being closer to the boundary rope, the EV was hit multiple times, including once by CSK’s Ruturaj Gaikwad and once by Mumbai Indians’s Nehal Wadhera as well.
The Tata Tiago EV is the most affordable 4-door electric hatchback that you get your hands on in the country with a starting price tag of Rs 8.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
