Ather Energy has revealed that it has sold 2,389 units of the Ather 450X and 450 Plus in July 2022. Furthermore, the year-on-year growth has jumped up by 24 percent. However, Ather Energy sold 801 less units in July than in June.
This drop in month-on-month sales can be attributed to the fact that Ather was due to launch the latest Gen 3 version of the 450 Plus and 450X last month. This version showcased the Bengaluru-based company’s focus on improving the product. The new 450X Gen 3 is now powered by a bigger 3.7 kWh battery pack that brings in better performance and ride consistency. You can check out all the differences between the old and new gen here.
Ather Energy has also expanded its retail presence with the inauguration of three new experience centres in Mumbai, Kollam and Dehradun. This comes as Ather shares plans to increase its production to 14 lakh units annually.
We recently rode the Ather 450X Gen 3 and here’s our first ride review. Along with all the upgrades, the Gen 3 also gets a small price hike. But is the Ather still worth the buck? We give you the answer here. The 450X Gen 3 rivals the Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube ST and upcoming Simple One.
