    If you are a driving enthasuist, you can opt for the manual. I have the manual gearbox, it is very slick shifting unit with short throws, the clutch is light to operate as well. If you need hassle free driving and your most of the travel is within city then AMT makes sense.

    I feel manual is better as all entry level cars have AMT which is actually another form of manual transmission with average implementation. Automatic manual transmission name should give a clue.

    As like your requirements, automatic is best for city traffics, for rural trans I prefer manual one because of the steeps, unmanned roads etc.
