Q. Is it worth going for Sportz AMT instead of other cars with same price from Hyundai? Also is the engine is BS VI compliance - Santro?

If you have considered purchasing the Hyundai Santro, it must be for its premium packaging. Sportz is the ideal variant if you are considering a Hyundai Santro as it gets some of the essential features that are missing in the variants below it. That said, it still misses out on passenger airbag, speed-sensing door locks and height-adjustable driver’s seat. So we would recommend this to those who’re driving themselves. If you are considering the Santro with an AMT, the Sportz is the variant to go for since it gets a host of convenience-enhancing features The price difference between the Sports and Magna isn’t too much either. And the lack of an AMT option in the top-spec Asta variant furthers its cause.Santro has managed to better existing products like the Wagon R in terms of interior quality, and is capable of giving buyers a premium car feel at a more affordable price. The new Hyundai Santro is powered by a 1.1-litre, 4-cyl petrol engine which produces 69PS of power and 99Nm of torque. It is available with a choice of 5-speed MT or a 5-speed AMT. The new engine is BS-IV compatible and also BS-VI ready.
Q. How much cc is the engine - Santro?

It is likely to get the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder engine from the Eon. The new hatchback will be powered by a petrol engine with an optional, indigenously-developed 5-speed AMT (automated-manual transmission), which will be a first for a Hyundai.

Q. As per new government rules, only BSVI engine cars should be sold. So what about cars already bought which doesn't have BSVI engine. Example: Santro. Does it mean, we should not use those cars? Please clarify my doubt. I'm planning to buy Santro?

If you are willing to purchase the BSIV-compliant Hyundai Santro, then you may go for it and there would not be any issues with the car when the BSVI norms kick in.
