Have been using a GT TSi for the past three years. Have had no hiccups at all. Service has1been a fuss-free affair too. Had an issue with the turbocharger, that got replaced under warranty no questions1asked.

  • Q. How is polo automatic? What is the on-road price?
    Zigwheels | 8 months ago

Volkswagen Polo GT TSI is priced at Rs. 9.40 lakh (Ex-showroom Price, Delhi). Click on the link to know about its on-road price and select the city accordingly: https://www.zigwheels.com/newcars/Volkswagen/Polo/on-road-price-delhi The GT TSI, is one of the most popular performance hatchbacks in India. The turbocharged 4-cylinder mill produces 105PS of power and 175Nm of torque, and while the standard Polo petrol gets a 5-speed manual gearbox, the GT TSI gets a 7-speed dual clutch autobox that offers slick shifts and rapid progress. It helps in keeping a relaxed left-foot when you’re stuck in city traffic and enables quick downshifts when you’re zipping through truckers on those weekend trips.

Polo GT Tsi is the only model of polo available in automatic. It had the DSG 7 speed gearbox which is one of the best in all segments. In fact the buggati Veyron had the same gearbox. This drives the price if the polo a bit up. The GT Tsi costs about 10 lakh on road

Either go for Polo GT or Any TDI models, which is better in power. Petrol variants lags in power because of 1 litter engines.

  • Q. How is Polo highline diesel engine
    Nishad | 7 months ago

Very good. We have had a Vento with same engine (of polo) for last 6+ years with over 90,000 kms. Only issue was we had to replace turbo last year but everything else has worked perfectly till date. Just keep regular service and make sure oil is changed at appropriate intervals. Do not buy the diesel if you will use the vehicle less.

It's performing good. I've done 90k kms.The problem I've faced till now is that you have to top-up mobil oil in every 5k kms or once you accelerate hard when temperature of engine is low.

If you want a car which is well build and safe and not very powerful but smooth to drive then can go for 1.0 petrol polo. As polo is very much planted on highway at high speed.

  • Q. Is the top speed of the Polo 1.0 comfortline increasable?
    Zigwheels | 1 month ago

The top speed of the Polo 1.0 Comfortline is increasable. That can be done in the aftermarket but it may have some consequences as well. For the starters, any sorts of engine warranty from the brand side will become void. Apart from that, the car engines are manufactured/designed in a very specific manner so modifying the top-speed of the car may affect the life of your engine as well.
