If you are travelling less than 50-60km a day, opt for a petrol car instead of a diesel. With the extra Rs 1-1.50 lakh spent on a diesel purchase, you can actually drive a similar petrol car for as many as two years! So, do your math carefully. A diesel usually makes sense if you are driving above 60/70km a day. Diesel swift delivers better mileage and better pick up power. On the other hand, Swift petrol has more smooth engine. We would suggest you to take a test drive in order to clear your all doubts. Click on the given link to get your nearest dealership details: https://www.zigwheels.com/dealers

Depends on one`s needs. Petrol is better for run, less than 50 km.per day. If it is more than that, diesel should be preferred. By the way now a days there is no any vast difference in per liter petrol and diesel prices.

I dont recommend coz it is better to buy either VXI coz it covers all the necessary equipment and youll end up saving approx 1 lakh or pay additional 40000 and get ZXI+ you will get full featured car. But I highly recommend to buy VDI coz it will cost exactly for the price of ZXI , Its diesel and superb milage of 25 KMPL

It's true you won't get the build quality of Toyota, or the fit and finish of Hundai. Maruti quality is Ok

  • Q. How is the Swift dzire automatic . what's the mileage you are getting in the car.?
    Kumar
    Kumar | 1 year ago

Mileage of the auto variant (Petrol 18-19 kmpl, diesel 21-22 kmpl) is similar to the manual one with little difference. However, auto offers huge convenience in the congested cities, making the drive very smooth and hassle-free.

  • Q. Is Dzire suitable for Indian roads(potholes)? Is suspension up to the mark?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 4 months ago

The suspension is so silent, the ride so plush, and it may sound like a big statement but there’s possibly nothing that unsettles this sedan. We went over some really rough and broken roads but the Dzire’s suspension absorbed them all without any thuds or rattles, especially the AMT variants. There’s none of the bounciness in the rear that used to be felt in the older Dzire. Despite the ground clearance having gone down by 7mm, the Dzire went over speed bumps without grazing its underbody. If comfort is high on your priority, then the Dzire’s got your back.

  • Q. Which car is suitable for me as my monthly running around 2400 Km.?
    Kumar
    Kumar | 12 months ago

Your daily running comes around 80 kilometres so we suggest you to go for the diesel variant in the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The middle specification VDI is a good one and offers high reliability, good Highway performance, and best fuel efficiency in the segment. It maintains cost is also low and being a Maruti, you rest assured about the availability of spares for years.

    Siddharth
    Siddharth | 7 months ago

The car is great, I have had no major issues in the past 7 years. Mileage depends on weather you are buying a petrol or a diesel and your driving conditions. Mine is a petrol and I get about 13 Kmpl in the city and about 16 Kmpl on the highway.

  • Q. Hi I want to know about the Lxi dzire, how is it?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 9 months ago

Though the base variant is bare basic, the highlight of the L trim is the dual front airbags along with ABS and EBD with Brake Assist (standard across the line-up). There is no audio system on offer and it gets manual air conditioning without rear AC vents. It doesn't even get power windows, not even the front ones. No exterior bling on offer as such. The outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) and door handles do not come in body colour. The grille doesn't get chrome surrounds like the higher variants. On the inside, the L trim doesn’t get a tachometer and faux-wood inserts, among others. It rides on 14-inch steel wheels (no wheel caps) with 165/80 cross-section tyres.
