I agree with pubg here. I own an S-cross and by far it is one of the best drivers car. it is not uncomfortable by any means, infact it is one of the cars that gives you a matured ride and handling. out on the highway I agree power is on lower side, yes it takes time to pick up pace unlike other more powerful cars in the segment but mind that it can easily reach 170-180 kmph and best part is that it can maintain that speed on an open stretch without any issue. more powerful cars like ecosport on the other hand struggle to maintain high speeds because of poor high speed stability of the car. lower power doesn't mean uncomfortable.

If you are looking for a good ride quality, space for 5, a good mileage and low cost of maintenance in a car, S-cross is definitely the choice to go for. creta on that price point is not a value for money car compared to the S-cross. again Xuv 300 on the other other hand is sub 4m compact SUV while S-cross is a larger car with larger seating space and boot size.

Not at all. I have experienced and this time Maruti has used very thin caught sheets all over car body and due to this even slightest touch causes damage to body. Check for TATA make. It's better option

If you have a family with larger physique, s cross is the best. If you have city driving more, brezza is good. Brezza is prized at a lower bracket. The negative of s cross is its size ,preferably more suitable for long distance trips.

It depends upon the driving, often changing gears, feel like pickup is laging, but in other way, when you drive at a constant speed on Highways, you will not feel the difference.

  • Q. Please tell me about Maruti S-Cross. I don't have too much run occasionally I go for long trips during vacation. I am a force personnel and my job is posting related so I want less maintenance and easy maintenance.

Hi Rajesh, I've been traveling with the S-Cross for a while now. The vehicle has thus far been very low maintenance. Many of the breakable parts (e.g. side mirrors) are used in other models also and hence are fairly inexpensive. Given the spurt in opening up of Nexa showrooms, many Maruti service centers have a separate bay for Nexa cars. Service costs are nominal for a car of this size. The car is responsive to my needs. I've done 3 trips between Bangalore to Kolkata and back and lots of trips between BLR-HYD and BLR-Chennai. I believe Nexa cars now offer both Apple Carplay and Google Auto, so you should be able to take advantage of Google maps once your phone (iPhone or Android) is coupled with the car's infotainment unit. Speech recognition is passable, but i have reason to believe that in the next 6 months, better speech recognition will be available on this car which will enable you to command many features including turning up the AC or tuning to a particular Radio Station via voice. Rear seat is decent and the boot space is generous. The spare tyre goes into the boot, unlike many models where it's hanging outside. All doors take 1L water bottles. If you move with lots of luggage, you can always install Thule luggage carriers. The clincher for me was the disc brakes on all wheels. Its a great family car and I'm very happy with my decision.

There are abundant options available in the market that falls under the budget of 10-11 lakh rupees. Apart from the budget, there are many other factors which needs to be considered while purchasing a car like the requirement of features, preference of the vehicle type, performance of the vehicle, seating capacity, etc. Some of the options available are Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Honda Amaze, Maruti Vitara Brezza, etc. Click on the following to see the available options: https://www.zigwheels.com/newcars/cars-between-6-to-10-lakhs Moreover, you could choose between Ford Aspire and Hyundai Venue. If you want a car with better ground clearance, good cabin space and next-gen features then Hyundai Venue could be a good option for you. On the other hand, Ford Aspire is good in performance with its 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol which generates 96PS of power and 120Nm of max torque. So, if you need a sedan like car with budgeted maintenance and good comfort, you can opt for the Ford Aspire.

  • Q. Is it a reliable car, is it a claimed mileage and what is the maintainance cost and long distace comfortness - S-Cross?
    Umang
    Umang | 7 months ago

It's very reliable, I took my S-Cross on a 5000 kms road trip right after delivery (after getting the first 1000kms service done). It is a mile muncher, got around 18-19 on the highway with three people on board a boot full of luggage and doing about 100 kmph. It's comfortable as well cover a distance of about 1100 kms in a day ( Ajmer - Pushkar - Shirdi - Pune) with ease.

Thanks @swarnim. The government should do something about subsidy to reduce pollution for hybrid cars. What about the insurance and registration? Do we need to do it from agency?
