  • Q. What is the performance of Kuv 100?
    Zigwheels | 10 months ago

No changes in this department, at least for now! Both engines - the 1.2-litre mFalcon D80 petrol and the 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel - and the 5-speed manual transmission remain unaltered. Whereas the petrol engine pumps out 83PS/115Nm, the diesel-fed mill is rated at 78PS/190Nm. Diesel: The clutch is light and bites in just where you’d want it to. Power delivery is linear and it doesn’t have the surge of power that one expects when the turbo kicks in. It even feels quite relaxed at 100kmph and is capable of going faster. This engine also gets the micro-hybrid tech for better urban efficiency, along with the ‘Eco’ and ‘Power’ drive modes. There is a perceptible difference in throttle response when you shuffle between the modes. While the eco mode will work alright in the city, better stick to power mode on the highway. Petrol: While this contributes greatly in keeping the overall weight of the engine down, it does not suppress the engine noise too well. The petrol motor has a lot of vibrations on startup and idle. The engine is quite peppy when kept on the boil, though, nowhere close to that of the Swift. It will cruise at 100kmph all day long, but progress beyond that is slow. This engine is best suited to the confines of the city and it does feel strained on the highways. Mahindra KUV100 NXT: First Drive Review - https://bit.ly/2JbaUh6

  • Q. How is the car, Should I buy for occasional purpose?
    Zigwheels | 5 months ago

If you want to stand out from the crowd and turn more heads on the go, the KUV100 NXT will do that job nicely, especially with its dual-tone paint job. It excels at being spacious and practical. Don’t have super high expectations from the engine in terms of performance or refinement - and it should do the job just fine. Lest we forget, slow down for the twisties - it can give you the creeps if you’re over-enthusiastic.

    Mahindra | 6 months ago

No. Not at all. Infact Noise reflects the characteritics of an SUV. The engine of an SUV can't be silent like of MAruti or Hyundai

  • Q. Is diesel variant produced vibration and sound after some sometime. Should I buy this car or not?
    Zigwheels | 6 months ago

Yes, being a 3-cylinder engine car, you can feel a little vibrations in the cabin but it won't hamper the performance of the car. The Mahindra KUV 100 looks stunning, while offering an SUV-like stance within the dimensions of a hatchback. With 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines it offers decent performance and hatchback-like efficiency, making it an interesting proposition for someone wanting a good looking affordable SUV.

  • Q. Hows the performance of the kuv100 in deisel varient?
    Zigwheels | 6 months ago

We drove the three-cylinder diesel engine-equipped car and performance from the 78PS/190Nm unit is unchanged. It doesn’t feel particularly powerful, but has a decent amount of bottom pull, with its peak torque kicking in from 1,750rpm onwards. The top two K6+ and K8 trim levels also offer Mahindra’s micro-hybrid technology, which is the company’s terminology for an automatic start-stop system. In the diesel-engined KUV, these two variants along with the K4+ variant also gets the power/eco button. In ‘power’ mode, the motor feels quick to respond, while the mileage-conscious ‘eco’ mode dulls down throttle response and should feel right at home while driving in bumper-to-bumper city traffic. We would suggest you to take a test drive in order to clear your all doubts. As usual you can't consider sleek, sporty or fancy look from Mahindra and ofcourse the thoughness and solidity factory is there, apart from this feature are available , practical milega is about 15kmph, and engine or brand the you can for long drive even 1000+km in single turn. It looks like SUV segment and bulky to other in this range... Top model price ...7-8L on road.
