  • Q. How is its suspension - Bolero Power Plus?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 10 months ago

Bolero Power Plus ride quality is rather choppy, body-roll is ever present and even the slightest road undulation will result in some vertical movement. It’s more noticeable in the rear seat rows, though with the rigid leaf spring rear suspension, increasing the passenger load will make the ride more compliant. Overall, the suspension is like an employee who’s both dedicated and smart; it’ll ensure you’re well supported, but it will make sure you’re aware of the effort it’s putting in.

  • Q. In Bolero Power Plus model it's showing new 1.5 l engine but it's a four cylinder engine or three cylinder engine and which ones is best for power and performance?

    Zigwheels | 6 months ago

The Bolero Power Plus has got the same 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder engine from the TUV300 which produces 70PS of power and 195Nm of torque. In terms of Power generally, the 3 cylinder engines produce more power as the combustion ratios are tightly packed to generate a power boom which results in a better power and torque figures of the vehicle with a moderate fuel economy. The 3 cylinder engine can have more NVH level as the 3 cylinder engines as compared to 4 cylinder engine is less stable.

  • Q. Is Bolero powerful and a successful SUV

    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

The Bolero Power Plus is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that makes 70PS and 195Nm, mated to a 5-speed MT. Thanks to the Micro-Hybrid system, the Bolero has a claimed mileage of 16.5kmpl. Mahindra has been the undisputed leader in SUV space for years now. A large share of this credit goes to its best selling machine, the Bolero. Having topped the charts for nine years on the trot, Mahindra has sold close to a million units of the SUV till date. To keep it in tune with the times (and benefit from a break in taxes) Mahindra recently added the sub 4-metre version of the Bolero, dubbed the Power+ to the variant list. Let’s take a closer look at the Bolero and find out why it has been the cash-cow for Mahindra. The Bolero has always been a no-frills ‘fill-it, shut-it, forget-it’ SUV. It continues to score on that front even seventeen years since it was first introduced. If you are eyeing the Bolero, we’d recommend the Power+ because it isn’t just cheaper, but is also refined and more efficient compared to the CRDe-powered version.

Mahindra Bolero enjoys a distinctive place in the hearts of true off-roaders who likes to invade the rutted tarmac more than steering on the well laid out roads. Undoubtedly, Bolero’s features like wide gaping wheel arches, large ground clearance, and differential lock system makes it a true blue off-roader.

If you are on a budget and you are okay with an old-school people mover, the Bolero will fit your bill quite well. However, if you want power, an extensive list of creature comforts, safety tech like airbags and ABS, and you are fine with a five-seater layout, the Bolero doesn’t stand a chance against its competition. Do take a test drive in order to judge your driving comfort.

  • Q. How many seats are there and can it be used as car or for transporting of goods purpose - Bolero Power Plus?
    Jebin

It's seven seater. The midrow can't be folded which reduces capacity to carry lot of items. The bucket seats which are totally useless provide a lot of obstruction as well. If u were to compare a Hyundai i10 seat folded and a Bolero Hyundai i10 would carry more luggage.

Things We Don't Like in Bolero - Build quality inside out could have been a lot better. Reeks of cost-cutting. - Misses out on basic features such as height-adjust for the seat and tilt adjust for the steering. - Lack of safety features such as airbags, anti-lock brakes is a big miss! - Being a 7-seater car, it should have equipped with rear AC vents.
