  • Q. Which is best for performance EcoSport or WRV (petrol version)?

    Gururaj | 11 months ago

MIleage - WRV I will divide comfort in several aspects: 1. Seating comfort 1st row - Ecosport (better back and cushion support and feel than Honda seats) 2. Seating comfort 2nd row - WRV (Very well suited for long drives for 3 persons. Bucket seats are better positioned compared to Ecosports) 3. Headroom, legroom and width - WRV (Honda has put in a lot of thought and provided us with an awesome usage space) 4. Luggage space - WRV. 5 . Seating position - Ecosports (A little edge there as seat position of ecosports driver seat is approx 50 mm higher than WRV) 6. Sunroof - WRV 7. Body roll - Ecosport Mileage - both are equally good in petrol variants; for diesel - definitely WRV. Resale price - ECO sport will fetch a bit more than WRV though not drastic difference. Value for money - IMO both are equally good but still if your family is of 5 persons and prefer a top end petrol car, WRV should be the choice. Other wise Ecosport should suit you just as fine.

  • Q. Eco sport or S-Cross which is a good buy as my preferances are mileage, build quality & features - EcoSport?
    Jeetin
    Jeetin | 1 year ago

Please go for Ecosport. On Cost and Safety, it's is much better than S-Cross. Ecosport Diesel has 1498cc engine with power of 98.96bhp@3750rpm while S-Cross Diesel has only 1248cc with power of 88.5bhp@4000rpm Ground clearance of Ecosport is 200mm which is better than S-Cross with 180mm. Driving experience of Ecosport is better than S-Cross. And Ecosport is slightly cheaper than S-Cross.

  • Q. Which variant is best and value of money in ford ecosport?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

As we can see, the Ambiente model of the upcoming Ford EcoSport facelift is equipped with all the features a regular buyer would look for. It gets safety features such as dual airbags and ABS with EBD as standard along with a modern audio system, which is usually absent in base models of most vehicles. This should make it a smart value-for-money option, unless there’s a substantial hike in its starting price, that is. Apart form it, if you are someone looking for the extra oomph factor coupled with higher levels of attention to detail in the cabin, then go for the Titanium model.

  • Q. How is the performance of 1.5 ltr petrol engine? What is the mileage - EcoSport?
    Nikhil
    Nikhil | 2 months ago

@ Zigwheels | The 1.5L petrol engine is an all-new 3-cylinder naturally aspirated unit. It makes a healthy 123PS of power and 150Nm of torque. This engine is more compact, lighter and is also claimed to be more efficient than the engine it replaces. Ford has gone to great lengths to quieten the thrummy nature of the 3-cylinder. There’s now a balancer to reduce vibrations and they even have the timing belt, which usually is open to the elements, running in an oil bath. At idle and start up, it still sounds like a typical 3-cylinder, but as soon as you get moving, it quietens down. It's really nice to drive at city speeds because all that power has been focused around low- to mid-range rpm and trails off at higher revs. The claimed ARAI mileage for the Ford EcoSport petrol is 18 kmpl. Do take a test drive in order to judge your driving comfort.

All said and done. I have drove 1.5 ltr petrol engine ecosport for 12000 KMs (close of 5000 on highway and 7000 intra-city) In term of mileage its a big disappointment. Average mileage I Could get in intra-city traffic (Delhi NCR) is 8KPML. Whereason Highway (mainly NH-1), it is 10KMPL. Don't go with what company claims. If you average drive in a month is above 1000 kms, ecosport would cost you INR 2000 per month extra vis-a-vis competition (Honda WR-V, Breeza etc). In term of performance, it does well on highway but in city traffic at times it lag to pull off required torgue.

  • Q. Nexon or Ecosport, Which car should I buy for better safety and performance?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 9 months ago

The Nexon brings a dose of freshness to the compact-SUV game. There's a lot to like including the design, features and the diesel engine. It’s well built, safe and reasonably good to drive. You’ll have to live with a few quirks in the interior, and some unpolished bits and bobs here and there, though. On the other hand, the EcoSport has got its mojo back. It’s among the only ones in its class that actually looks like a scaled down SUV and not a blown-up hatchback. If you need a small SUV that has some swag, you know where to head.We would suggest you to take a test drive in order to clear your all doubts. • Q. In Petrol, which one of below three cars is worth buying in terms of - 1. Driving comfort in city n highway (i.e. suspensions, Cruise,), 2. Mileage, 3. Safety features (such as ESC, EBS, Hill Assist), 4. Extra features (such as instrument cluster)a. Honda WRV VX MT b. Hyundai Create 1.6 SX , 1.6 SX (O)c. Ford EcoSport 1.0 Ecoboost , Titanium +I also heard that on fully loaded, WRV lags power to drive.

    Zigwheels | 11 months ago

Here, you can go for Hyundai Creat. The Creta is expensive. But, it feels like you’re getting your money’s worth. It’s well-built, has a comfortable ride, enough gizmos to keep you occupied and a brilliant set of engines. You’ll have trouble upgrading from this one. The SX(O) is the fully loaded, top-of-the-line variant of the Creta and gets a plethora of features including significant safety features. And a premium of over Rs 1.5 lakh for these features is amply justified in our books. So, if you don’t mind spending extra, we would suggest you to go for this variant considering the high level of safety and features it offers.
