  • Q. I want to buy a car which gives me good mileage, low maintenance cost, cheap spares parts. My daily running is 15 km. It will be my first car. Also I wanted to have good seats my age is 54 years.

You can certainly go for Polo. Let's look at the pros and cons Pros: 1. Top-notch build quality. No Maruti or any other Indian/Japanese/Korean brand can compete this German beauty in terms of build quality. 2. Superb handling. Steering wheel gives pretty good feedback. 3. Low maintenance cost. Yes, you read it right. This is because the service interval is every 15000 kms which is 50% extra than its competitors. Also, Volkswagen parts are pretty durable. 4. Great high speed stability. 5. Fantastic mileage figures. I would suggest you to go for diesel variant. It give 12-13kmpl in city heavy traffic. 16-17kmpl in moderate traffic and 21-22 kmpl on highway People primarily buy Volkswagen for its durability and safety. Moreover, it is equally good for both city and highways.

  • Q. I am planning to buy second hand polo 2014 highline diesel model in 3.40 lacks. But confuse between polo and swift? I need your assistance which car is best to buy petrol or diesel? Does polo car diesel give good mileage if I install CNG? Give me your opinion which car will be best to buy now a days in economic range?
    Zigwheels | 9 months ago

Polo and Swift, both the cars are good enough and fun to drive but it would be unfair to give a conclusion here as the used car purchase will depend on lot of factors like car physical condition, no. of owners, KMs driven, age etc. Moreover, you can also get an idea of used car price via our tool: https://www.zigwheels.com/used-car-valuation If you are traveling less than 50-60km a day, opt for a petrol car instead of a diesel. With the extra Rs 1-1.50 lakh spent on a diesel purchase, you can actually drive a similar petrol car for as many as two years! So, do your math carefully. A diesel usually makes sense if you are driving above 60/70km a day. Please make sure that the CNG kit that you are installing is RTO approved to avoid future troublesome. However, the downside is that you would loose out on the boot space & you have to sacrifice with the power to get more fuel economy. We suggest you to get in touch with the authorized service center to know the nitty-gritty of the fittings as they will be the best people to suggest you the compatible CNG kit for your car. Here are some points that needs to be checked before purchasing a used car: 1. Do check the services and insurance record of the car to know about the car condition & damage areas. 2. Let the car be parked into an open space, avoiding shadows with adequate sunlight falling on the car & check for any dents and repair work. 3. Step inside and check the interiors and monitor the overall features and details on offer. 4. Get the car checked with the authorized service center to know about the car condition. 5. At last take a test drive & don't forget to bargain over the price to grab a best deal.

Have been using a GT TSi for the past three years. Have had no hiccups at all. Service has1been a fuss-free affair too. Had an issue with the turbocharger, that got replaced under warranty no questions1asked.

  • Q. How is polo automatic? What is the on-road price?
    Zigwheels | 8 months ago

Volkswagen Polo GT TSI is priced at Rs. 9.40 lakh (Ex-showroom Price, Delhi). Click on the link to know about its on-road price and select the city accordingly: https://www.zigwheels.com/newcars/Volkswagen/Polo/on-road-price-delhi The GT TSI, is one of the most popular performance hatchbacks in India. The turbocharged 4-cylinder mill produces 105PS of power and 175Nm of torque, and while the standard Polo petrol gets a 5-speed manual gearbox, the GT TSI gets a 7-speed dual clutch autobox that offers slick shifts and rapid progress. It helps in keeping a relaxed left-foot when you’re stuck in city traffic and enables quick downshifts when you’re zipping through truckers on those weekend trips.

Polo GT Tsi is the only model of polo available in automatic. It had the DSG 7 speed gearbox which is one of the best in all segments. In fact the buggati Veyron had the same gearbox. This drives the price if the polo a bit up. The GT Tsi costs about 10 lakh on road
