Both Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour are capable and powerful SUVs. The Fortuner gets two engine options: a new 204PS/500Nm 2.8-litre diesel and a 166PS/245Nm 2.7-litre petrol unit. Transmission options include 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. Whereas, the Endeavour is now only available with a BS6 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine in India that puts out 170PS and 420Nm of twist mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox driving all four wheels. In terms of performance, the diesel-powered Fortuner takes 12.48 seconds to hit the 0-100kmph mark while the Endeavour does that in 11.68 seconds. Also, the full-time 4WD also bodes well for Endeavour while going off-roads compared to the part-time 4WD in the Fortuner. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. The Toyota Fortuner gets two engine options: a new 204PS/500Nm 2.8-litre diesel and a 166PS/245Nm 2.7-litre petrol unit. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. The diesel variants get an option for rear and all-wheel drive, whereas the petrol variants are only offered with a rear-wheel drivetrain. Selecting the right fuel type depends on your utility and the average running of the car. If you drive less than 50km in a day then we recommend you to go with a petrol car as they are easy to maintain, have a longer life span and they cost less initially than the diesel car. On the other hand, diesel cars are preferred if the average daily run is more than 50km which makes it a feasible purchase. If you want a powerful engine option and the average driving is on the higher side, then you may go with the diesel engine option. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
