Go for Tigor XZA. Maintenance is almost none.Good ground clearance covered around 18k in less than a year never faced any difficulty ever even in hilly areas. Mileage depends entirely upon your driving and traffic. I have achieved 22+ in amt model with AC and 5 on board.

  • Q. Is Tigor diesel model best in terms of features, mileage and comfortable?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

The Tigor’s 1.05-litre diesel engine produces 70PS of power and 140Nm of torque. It is at its peppiest best in a very narrow window. Turbo lag is apparent below 2000rpm and you feel some of the turbo’s effect at around 2200rpm, but it tapers off just after 3500rpm. Any time you want to go faster, whether in the city or on open roads, you will have to work the gearbox. Gearshift quality in the diesel is also not as good as in the petrol, especially when shifting from second to third gear. Although, The ride quality has to be one of the Tigor’s biggest highlights. The suspension offers a very good combination of ride and handling, especially the diesel, which runs on 14-inch wheels. It soaked bumps and potholes extremely well, and while both versions do not lose their composure over bad roads, the diesel offers a better ride with lesser up-and-down or side-to-side movements. The claimed ARAI mileage of Tata Tigor Diesel is 24.7 kmpl. Click on the link to know more: https://bit.ly/2M92oVr

  • Q. What mileage does Tigor petrol gives And is it worth to buy this car under this segment?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 9 months ago

The claimed ARAI mileage for the Tata Tigor petrol is 20 kmpl. However, the actual mileage figures differ due to certain factors like road conditions and the driving pattern. The Tigor looks like a good overall package with decent equipment and frugal engines, although these are best used in the city. The level of equipment is also tempting. However, it's the genuine sedan-like values that really shine through. The large boot and the spacious backseat are the clear highlights here. Even though we would have liked a bit more punch from it, the petrol engine is our pick of the lineup. Even the quality of plastics and better sound insulation would go a long way in making the Tigor stand out in the sub-4 metre segment space.Do take the test ride of it in order to have a complete glimpse regarding the ease and comfort offered.

  • Q. Which model is best in terms of budget and features. Any issue with 3 cylinder engine. Actual mileage. Should buy or not - Tigor?

The Tigor should thus make for a good buy if you want a comfortable, spacious and efficient city car that can also manage short weekend trips. XZ Plus would be a better pick here as it gets Anti Lock Braking System, Height Adjustable Driver Seat, 15 Inch Alloy Wheels, Automatic Climate Control, Voice Control, Rear Camera, Tata Smart Remote, Tata Emergency Assist, Electric Folding Rear View Mirror and Smart Trunk Opener which makes it a great package. The Tigor carries over the 3-cylinder petrol and diesel engines from the Tiago. While the power and torque outputs are the same, there are subtle differences in the calibration. Both variants also carry over the 5-speed manual gearboxes. However, to get the required sense of peppiness on the heavier Tigor, the overall gearing has been shortened. The petrol engine is also counterbalanced for greater smoothness and it feels that way too. Now, this engine is actually quite peppy. It happily trots forward in response to light dabs of the throttle. Low-speed responsiveness makes it quite handy for the city and since it's willing to rev, it cruises well on the highway too. The diesel motor is a bit of hard work as the turbo kick hits home just past 2300rpm and then fizzles out by 3500rpm. As a result, you have to keep working the gearbox to make any quick progress. Also, we found the shift from 2nd to 3rd to be a bit tricky. The Tigor deserves a larger diesel engine to really complete the package.

  • Q. Hi bro how is Tata Tigor performance? I am planning to buy.

We drove both the petrol and diesel versions, and the engines and transmissions are the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Revotron and 1.05-litre 3-cylinder Revotorq from the Tiago mated to five speed manual gearboxes. Power and torque figures are the same as the Tiago’s, at 85PS and 114Nm. The diesel remains unchanged too, offering 70PS of power and 140Nm of torque. However, as the Tigor is heavier by 40 - 50 kgs, the gearing has been tweaked to offer the right kind of drivability. On the road, the engine feels smooth and is quiet at idle but gets a bit noisy as you rev it. The petrol engine is the better pick in this lineup as it feels livelier even at low speeds. Throttle response is quicker at part throttle, which should make the petrol easier and more comfortable to drive in city. Being more powerful, it also felt quicker to accelerate, and also has a better torque curve since its power does not taper off as sharply as the diesel’s. It also feels quite at ease while cruising on the highway. The diesel feels quite dull to drive. It is at its peppiest best in a very narrow window. Any time you want to go faster, whether in the city or on open roads, you will have to work the gearbox. Gearshift quality in the diesel is also not as good as in the petrol, especially when shifting from second to third gear. Petrol and diesel both get Eco and City driving modes, like the Tiago, and Tata says the modes have been tweaked for a better experience.

  • Q. How is tigore amt ?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

Tata Tigor is equipped with 5-speed AMT option in its Revotron XTA and XZA trim. Tigor AMT is offered only with the 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 85PS of power and 114Nm of torque. It is the same engine seen on the manual variants. Tata claims an average of 20.3 kmpl for its AMT variant. The ride quality has to be one of the Tigor’s biggest highlights. The petrol uses 15-inch wheels and tends to cause more movement on broken roads, though ride quality is very good. Do take a test drive in order to judge your driving comfort.

Aspire Titanium is approximately 1 Lakh costly, if you can afford go for it. Mileage wise Tigor is better. Space wise Aspire is better, If can Pay 8 Lakh then go for Aspire, or Tigor is better.
