Yes. Absolutely. Why do you even have a question in your mind? Please don't have a doubt. I drive 13-14 hours straight (1 fuel stop included) while covering a distance of almost 600 km from Kolkata to Siliguri. And it runs smoothly. If you drive within your mentioned speed limits, you will get mileage of 20+ kmpl easily.

If we talk about the engine refinement, then yes, Tata Tiago lack it a bit and feels a little rough being 3-cylinder units compared to others. However, for exact cognizance, we'd recommend taking a test drive of the car. Click on the link for New Car Showrooms.

  • Q. Should I wait for BS6 compliant car or buy a BS4 compliant Tata Tiago this month?

@ Jayata | Go only for Petrol version for sure. Fate of diesel variants are uncertain in near future. Moreover the Petrol variant is good also.

Looks the dealer is no more taking requests for the new orders to tata manufacturing plant.. not too sure whether they will give the BS4 version or the new BS6 engine.. I heard that all the new engines are getting tested..

  • Q. I bought Tata Tiago XE petrol, it finds very difficult to climb hill type areas even on slopes it doesn't go well. When single driver it's fine. Whereas with passenger it doesn't. Any solutions please?

It shouldn't be so. I drove entire of sikkim & Darjeeling in my Tiago XE with 3 passenger and luggage. Yes, I admit that I had to work out this 3 p*t machine more than the usual 4 pot, but she managed well. I am a bit surprised. In fact I did almost a 40° incline uphill (amid downhill traffic) near Pelling. It was heck of a drive but she pulled out well. Only 1 thing for your knowledge, I replaced my stock tyres with an upgrade after I took delivery of my car. If it helps..

Tata Tiago is a good car with the good build quality, powerful and frugal engine, it is equipped with a host features and despite the affordable pricing, the quality of the material feels premium. However, you might feel the engine a bit underwhelming and noisy. You can have better cognizance about the vehicle by taking a test drive. Follow the link for New Car Showrooms

  • Q. My daily running is 60 km, kindly suggest should I buy petrol or diesel Variant?
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 month ago

As daily running with the car is on a higher side, we'd recommend opting for the diesel-powered vehicle as the diesel engines tend to use 15−20% less fuel compared to the petrol engines resulting in cheaper running costs. Also, diesel cars have better resale value compared to petrol cars. Also, take a test drive of the car before making the final decision as it would help a lot in making up your mind.
