  • Q. Hi, is the ride on TUV 300 plus comfortable or bouncy like the Bolero, what do you suggest regarding maintenance cost and mileage.

The TUV300 Plus is basically a stretched out version of the Mahindra TUV300, which is a sub-4m SUV. Stretching the TUV300 towards the rear has allowed Mahindra to make enough space to seat four more passengers on two benches that face sideways behind the second row. The 9-seat layout gives the TUV300 Plus an advantage over other relatively smaller 7-seat MPVs like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Renault Lodgy. Based on an old-school ladder frame, the MPV is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine with mild-hybrid tech that makes a maximum power of over 120PS. With the option to seat more people and two variants priced under Rs 10 lakh, the TUV300 Plus should make for the ideal MPV for fleet owners. A big downside, however, is that the base P4 variant skips basic safety features like dual front airbags and ABS. It gives a claimed mileage of 18 kmpl. Actual figure will deped on the driving style and how it is maintained. In order to judge your driving comfort, do take a test drive and we would suggest you to contact authorised dealership as they will be the better persons to assist you regarding service cost. • Q. What is the performance of TUV300 plus and overall review?

As the name suggests, the Plus is a stretched version of Mahindra's sub-4-metre SUV. The TUV300 Plus is powered by the 2.2-litre mHawk motor that also powers the Scorpio and the XUV500. But, it has been given a rather conservative 120PS / 320Nm tune. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, and there's no automatic option offered just as yet. As far as features are concerned, the top-spec TUV300 Plus gets goodies such as 16-inch alloy wheels, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system paired with six speakers, faux leather upholstery and steering-mounted audio controls. That said, the biggest draw of the TUV300 Plus might just be the fact that it can seat 9 passengers. In terms of safety, Mahindra is offering dual airbags and ABS as standard across the range. The TUV300 Plus fits an extremely specific need. We’re sure rural markets and cab operators will lap this up by the dozen for the extra seats alone. It would be recommended to visit the nearest service centre for the physical check-up of the car so that the proper solution can be attained.Generally, Diesel engines are more powerful than petrol engines. Diesel engines have higher torque and they give a smoother drive for long drives. On the other hand, the harshness, noise, and vibrations in diesel driven cars are way higher than that of a petrol-driven car. Petrol engines are considered to be quieter than diesel counterparts.Click here for Dealership: https://www.zigwheels.com/dealers/Mahindra
